This work operates as a fracture between two states—what remains hidden and what begins to emerge. Through a raw, eroded surface, a face appears, suspended between presence and dissolution. It is not a portrait of a specific individual, but a trace—an imprint of consciousness held within the material.

A central golden line cuts through the composition, acting both as division and passage. It suggests rupture, but also transformation—a concentrated channel of light breaking through density and opening space for transition.
The surface is intentionally disrupted through layers, marks, and controlled abrasion, creating tension between precision and decay. The use of silver stain introduces a luminous gold that shifts with the light, while the integrated LED activates the work from within, revealing hidden textures and altering perception over time.
Rather than presenting a fixed image, the piece evolves with its environment, inviting a contemplative encounter with the boundaries between visibility and invisibility, memory and presence, fragmentation and becoming.
Medium: Kiln-fired hand-painted glass using tracing black and silver stain, assembled with lead, with integrated LED light
