In Court of Silent Masks, a fragile figure moves through a burnt-orange landscape like a wandering spirit from a forgotten court. Around it drift small mask-like forms that suggest the presence of a fallen king, an absent queen, and a watchful joker — symbolic forces shaping the quiet theatre of power and vulnerability.

The warm metallic ground evokes an ancient throne room or battlefield, while deep blues and dark traces hint at buried memory and emotional tension. The scattered masks interrupt the solemnity of authority, introducing a subtle, uneasy humour — a reminder that even power can be destabilised by disruption.

Painted and kiln-fired on glass, the work allows light to interact with the surface, revealing shifting textures and reflections that change with the viewer’s perspective.
